FIELD: catalysts.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a catalyst for the exhaustive hydrogenation of dicyclopentadiene in the form of nickel particles nanostructured on porous γ-Al2O3 granules by impregnation of the carrier with an aqueous solution of nickel chloride hexahydrate and reduction with an aqueous solution of sodium tetrahydroborate. The method is characterized by the fact that the surface of γ-Al2O3 is pre-coated with cerium dioxide applied by hydrothermal treatment at 95-120°C for 2 h in an aqueous solution of 0.005 mol/l cerium nitrate and 0.05 mol/l urea and additional heat treatment at 400°C for 1 hour.
EFFECT: catalyst is efficient, has an increased specific productivity, and also makes it possible to reduce the conditional residence time of the components in the reactor.
