FIELD: space technology.

SUBSTANCE: invention can be a part of power supply systems of various types of spacecraft, as well as a power source for various autonomous devices. The electrical energy storage device contains a photoelectric converter, a storage battery pack, an ionistor unit, a control device, which additionally contains a control signal generator, a battery charge-discharge unit, an ionistor charge-discharge unit and keys, moreover the control signal generator, by switching on/off the keys, enables a separate charge of the battery pack and the ionistor unit from the photoelectric converter in various modes of receiving light radiation, continuous or pulsed, as well as discharge of the battery packs and ionistors through the corresponding charger-discharge devices at constant and pulsed loads respectively. In the event of failure of one of the drives, the control signal generator ensures their cross switching to the loads.

EFFECT: increase of the service life of used storage devices charged from optimally matched sources of electrical energy, increase of efficiency of accumulation and use of electrical energy based on the joint use of a battery pack and an ionistor unit in power supply systems for accumulating electric energy supplied in a constant or pulsed mode with the possibility of its use for separate power supply of consumers, depending on the nature of their load.
