FIELD: data transmission.
SUBSTANCE: invention is related to a satellite communication network, namely to the choice of information transmission route based on the choice of the shortest route to a spacecraft (SC) that has established communication with an earth station (ES). The specified technical result is achieved by determining the shortest path from the SC-sender of information to the SC that has established communication with the ES in the proposed multi-satellite orbital constellation (OC) of SC connected by inter-satellite communication lines (ICL) in one orbital plane (OP), in order to ensure information exchange of SC with ground services, which can be a flight control centre, a network control centre or a special information processing centre, and consumers of target information (TI) in real time. If there is an ICL in only one OP, the route between SCs can be laid either in the direction of the SC movement in the OP, or in the opposite direction with respect to the SC movement in the OP. Since the distances between SCs in one OP are the same, the criterion for the shortest path in one OP from the SC-sender of information to the SC that has established communication with the ES is the number of intermediate SC-retransmitters.
EFFECT: creation of an effective method for routing delay-sensitive information flows in a satellite communication network on non-geostationary spacecraft connected by inter-satellite communication lines in one orbital plane and located in circular orbits
