FIELD: gyroscopic technology.
SUBSTANCE: invention is related to methods for controlling the rotor suspension of an electrostatic gyroscope. The essence of the claimed method lies in the fact that to the method according to which a reference voltage U0 of the same sign is supplied along each of the two orthogonal suspension axes to two opposite electrodes, an operation according to which a reference voltage 2U is applied along the third orthogonal axis of the suspension to two opposite electrodes 2U0 of a different sign is introduced. In this case, when the rotor is weighed, no charge is formed on it, and in the operating mode, the sum of the induced voltages on the rotor from the side of the suspension electrodes is equal to zero, providing a zero total voltage on the rotor.
EFFECT: reduction of the charge voltage on the rotor that occurs during the initial weighing, and reduction of voltage induced on the rotor from the voltage on the electrodes during the operation of the suspension, which helps to reduce the instability of the gyroscope drift, increase the accuracy of its operation, and also reduce the error of navigation of moving bodies.
