SUBSTANCE: method of determining the area of abdominal subcutaneous and abdominal visceral fat in a section in the abdominal region of the user's body comprises the steps of: using a device with an ultra-wideband radar applied to the user's body in the abdominal region, emit radiation into the user's body and measure the parameters of the reflected radiation; based on the measurement data, the processor determines the area of abdominal subcutaneous fat in the section of the user's body corresponding to the measurement point; receive anthropometric data of the user and the value of the bioimpedance of the user's body and on their basis by the processor determine the total area of fat in the section in the abdominal region of the user's body; the processor calculates an area of abdominal visceral fat in a section of the user's body based on the obtained total area of fat and the area of abdominal subcutaneous fat.

EFFECT: reducing the complexity and increasing the accuracy and speed of estimating the area of abdominal subcutaneous and abdominal visceral fat using portable devices.
