SUBSTANCE: retrograde stenting of the upper urinary tract is carried out: an ureteroscope is inserted into the urethra, the bladder, interureteral ligament and ureter orifices are examined, the stent is inserted along the guide wire into the ureter orifice with a calculus and it is non-violently advanced proximally to the renal cavitary system, overcoming the calculus localization zone. After the stent is inserted to the proper depth, the conductor is removed, before stenting, a contrast-enhanced CT scan of the abdominal cavity is performed, according to the results of which: in case of complete obstruction of the upper urinary tract with impaired renal function, a decision is made to carry out emergency stenting of the upper urinary tract, and in case of partial obstruction, in cases with persistent pain and progression of the expansion of the pyelocaliceal system a decision is made to carry out delayed stenting of the upper urinary tract.

EFFECT: method makes it possible to increase the efficiency of upper urinary tract obstruction elimination, emergency or delayed upper urinary tract stenting reduces the risk of developing an obstructive syndrome, and makes it possible to prepare a child for the calculus elimination procedure in a short time.
