SUBSTANCE: invention relates to devices for absorbing the interaction energy of rolling stock units. The draft gear comprises a housing with walls and a bottom. The reciprocating device is installed in the housing along the central axis. The friction assembly comprises a pressure cone, a base plate, friction wedges and movable plates, between which fixed plates are installed. In the lower part of each side surface of the fixed plate, there are protrusions in the form of a rectangular trapezoid installed in through holes in the housing walls. The inclined side of each protrusion is connected to the lower end surface of the fixed plate. Inside the housing, below the level of the lower surface of the through hole made in the housing wall, there is a shelf, with which the lower end surface of the fixed plate interacts.

EFFECT: increased service life of the draft gear.
