SUBSTANCE: invention relates to absorbing devices of couplers of a railway rolling stock. Absorbing device contains a hollow body, a set of friction shoes with friction facings, large and small elastic elements. Friction shoes surfaces are located at certain angles, providing the best oscillation suppression.
EFFECT: working stroke of the device is provided in the range of 110–120 mm, as well as the energy intensity of the device is increased.
