FIELD: electrical engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a technology for preventing battery degradation caused by temperature changes in a portable electronic device. The technical result is to create a portable electronic device that can regulate the power supplied from the battery in different ways in response to changes in ambient temperature. The result is achieved in that the portable electronic device comprises: a battery located in the portable electronic device for supplying power to an element powered by electricity in the electronic device; a control unit for adjusting the battery discharge power for periodically supplying battery power to the electric cell; a temperature measuring means for measuring an internal or external temperature of the device; and a microcontroller for comparing the inside or outside temperature with the predetermined reference temperature by input from the temperature measuring means, changing the control signal mode according to the comparison value, and outputting the control signal to the control unit.
EFFECT: portable electronic device that can regulate the power supplied from the battery in different ways in response to changes in ambient temperature.
