FIELD: safety equipment.
SUBSTANCE: battery protection device included in the battery pack is configured to detect a leakage in the internal part of the battery, to stop operation of the battery if the detected leakage signal is outside the predetermined reference range, and to transmit internal leakage alarm data. The battery protection device also includes a vehicle control unit that displays an interior moisture warning message received from the battery pack on the panel display. A variant of a battery protection device is also claimed, included in the battery pack, containing a leakage sensor, a battery contactor, a BMS battery management system. A method for protecting the battery is also claimed.
EFFECT: technical result consists in ensuring the protection of the battery pack by detecting a leak and the possibility of notifying the user about the results of leak detection.
