SUBSTANCE: invention can be used for perioperative nutritional support of patients with gastric cancer. In case of gastric cancer with spread to the esophagus, Nutrison-Energy ready-made nutrient mixture is administered before surgery orally for 3–5 days daily 4 times a day, 30–60 ml each. Then, during the operation, through a single-channel nasointestinal probe, this nutrient mixture is administered once for 10 minutes, 30–50 ml each, and then in the postoperative period in the first two days every 3 hours, 30–50 ml each, and on days 3–7 every 6 hours 100–150 ml each.

EFFECT: method allows to achieve earlier recovery of peristalsis by 2–3 days, to improve the immediate results of surgical treatment of gastric cancer by eliminating protein-energy deficiency, normalizing the metabolism of intestinal structures, preventing bacterial translocation, dystrophic and atrophic changes in the intestinal mucosa.
