FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: ultrasound control unit (ultrasound) for configuring the visualization of ultrasound data using the display unit during the operation. The control unit is configured to acquire ultrasound image data and automatically control the display of the most relevant portions and types of data based on current levels of a number of different monitored physiological parameters. Specifically, according to entering or leaving a predetermined range of values (e.g., representing an alarm or normal condition related to the patient) of one of the physiological parameters, the control unit determines the most suitable anatomical region in the image data to represent the changed physiological parameter and the most an effective rendering mode (eg, view) to represent or demonstrate that anatomical region in the image data. One or more display frames that show the anatomical region rendered in accordance with the selected imaging mode are generated. To control the display panel, a control output signal is generated to display one or more display frames.

EFFECT: use of this group of inventions will allow to extract clinically more relevant information related to the current state of the patient from ultrasound images.
