SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to medicine. The breast ultrasound visualization system in accordance with one of the embodiments may include a probe, a sensor attached to the probe and functionally connected to the position tracking system, a processor designed to receive probe position data from the position tracking system. The user interface can be designed to issue instructions for positioning the probe on a set of anatomical landmarks of a selected subject's chest and to accept user input to register the spatial location of the probe on each of the said anatomical landmarks. The processor can be designed to determine the scan area based on the spatial location of the probe on each of the aforementioned set of anatomical landmarks and generate a scan pattern for the selected breast. The processor can additionally be designed to monitor the movement of the probe. The user interface can be designed to display a visual representation of the scan before scanning and automatically update the visual representation of the scan pattern during scanning based on the movement of the probe.

EFFECT: use of this group of inventions will increase the effectiveness of ultrasound breast screening by tracking the position of the probe.
