FIELD: inorganic materials.

SUBSTANCE: low-melting glass is intended for gluing optical and laser elements made of single crystals and yttrium aluminium garnet (YAG) ceramics and contains components in the following ratio, mol.%: 37.5-38.0 PbO; 21.0-21.5 B2O3; 21.0-22.0 SiO2; 2.5-2.9 Y2O3; 6.7-7.3 ZnO; 8.30-11.3 Al2O3. Low-melting glass is melted using corundum crucibles at a temperature of 1100-1150°C in the air for 0.5-2 hours depending on the batch weight of 10-50 g. The resulting melt is cast into brass or steel moulds. Between the YAG elements to be glued, a powder of the produced glass with a particle size of less than 1 mcm or a plate of the produced glass corresponding in size to these elements is placed, then they are placed in a vacuum furnace at a pressure of 1 mmHg and temperature 650-700°C for 0.5 h. Optical contact between the layers is provided, the difference in CLTE does not exceed ±0.5% and transparency is in the region of 700-1100 nm.
