FIELD: optics.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of optical material science, in particular to colorless optical glasses not containing lead oxides, with a refractive index nd≥1.73, the Abbe number νd≥40 and density of ρ≤4.2 g/cm3. Invention can be used for manufacturing high-resolution optical systems, photo-, cinema-, lenses, laser technology, ophthalmology, as well as optical systems for recording, reading and transmitting information.
EFFECT: low tendency to crystallization, which is achieved by the additional content of Al2O3 (up to 12 % by weight) and Ga2O3 (up to 10 % by weight) with a high content of La2O3 (up to 63 % by weight) and Nb2O5 (up to 12 wt%), which that provide high values of the optical constants.
