FIELD: sensors.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to devices for visually registering the fact of exceeding the temperature, namely to devices for registering the fact of exceeding the temperature above at least one threshold value, the principle of operation of which is to change the microstructure of a thermosensitive material at given threshold temperature values, accompanied by an irreversible visual effect, and also options for manufacturing this device. A device for visual recording of temperature rises above at least one threshold value, having a layered structure, including: a base that is opaque for at least part of the visible light, on the front surface of which there are inscriptions indicating at least one numerical temperature threshold value; at least one heat-sensitive material, opaque for at least part of visible light, deposited on separate areas of the base, the microstructure of which includes particles of solid organic matter and voids filled with a gas phase; a transparent protective layer that partially or completely covers the front surface of the device. At the same time, the device is configured to irreversibly change its appearance when at least one threshold temperature indicated on it is reached due to the destruction of the microstructure of the corresponding heat-sensitive material, accompanied by the fusion of particles of solid organic matter, a decrease in the proportion of voids and an increase in its transparency with the development of the colour of the base. Also disclosed are variants of a method for manufacturing a device for visually recording temperature rises above at least one threshold value.
EFFECT: increase in the reliability and reliability of visual registration of the fact of exceeding the temperature above at least one threshold value, the impossibility of returning the temperature-sensitive material to its original state, increasing the response rate of the temperature-sensitive material, including under conditions of short-term peak loads of controlled equipment elements or emergency operation modes, as well as increasing the safety of operation of both the controlled equipment and the recording device itself throughout the entire period of operation.
