FIELD: agriculture.
SUBSTANCE: invention is related to technology of rice cultivation. The method of pre-plant introduction of manganese fertilizer into the alluvial meadow soil for rice seeds in the conditions of Kuban includes a preliminary analysis of the objects of study for the content of mobile manganese in them, their distribution into three groups: the first group includes objects with a low content of mobile manganese, the second - with an average content of it, the third - with a high content of mobile manganese, followed by identification of objects that need manganese treatment. Soil for planting rice seeds with a short flooding rice field irrigation is used for study. The content of mobile manganese is determined using extracting solutions - an acetate-ammonium buffer solution with a pH of 4.8 or a sulfuric acid solution with a concentration of 0.1 mol/dm3. In the soil with a low content of mobile manganese, manganese fertilizers are applied for five years before sowing rice at the rate of 2 kg/ha of the active ingredient in form of an aqueous solution, which is buried with disc harrows. In soil with its average content, the rate of applied manganese fertilizers is reduced by half. When using an ammonium acetate buffer solution, the first group includes soil with a low content of mobile manganese in the amount of 15-24 mg/kg, the second - soil with an average content of 25-35 mg/kg, the third - soil with a high content of mobile manganese in the amount of 36-55 mg/kg. When using a sulfuric acid solution, the first group includes soil with a low content of mobile manganese in the amount of 25-34 mg/kg, the second - soil with its average content - 35-75 mg/kg, the third - soil with a high content of mobile manganese in amount of 76-90 mg/kg.
EFFECT: increase of yield of rice and reduction of consumption of manganese fertilizers.
