SUBSTANCE: invention is related to technology of rice cultivation. The method of pre-sowing introduction of boron-containing fertilizer into alluvial meadow soil for rice seeds in Kuban conditions includes a preliminary analysis of alluvial meadow soil for the content of water-soluble boron in it. The soil is ranked into three groups: the first group includes soil with a low content of water-soluble boron in an amount of less than 0.50 mg/kg, the second - soil with an average content of 0.5-1.0 mg/kg, the third - soil with high content of water-soluble boron in an amount greater than 1.0 mg/kg. A boron-containing fertilizer is applied to the soil with a low content of water-soluble boron at the rate of 2 kg/ha for the active substance. For the soil with an average content of water-soluble boron, only half of the regular amount of the boron-containing fertilizer. At the same time, the introduction of boron-containing fertilizer is carried out for five years before sowing rice, in high rice bays, in form of an aqueous solution, burying it with disc harrows, with a short flooding irrigation of the rice field. The content of water-soluble boron in the soil is determined by the photometric method using quinalizarin.

EFFECT: increase of yield of rice and reduction of consumption of boron-containing fertilizers.
