SUBSTANCE: invention relates to tools for identifying drill pipes. The tool for identifying drill pipes is made in the form of a flexible plate. Said tool carries a two-dimensional barcode containing convex impact-resistant elements of this barcode and a cold-welding compound applied on the reverse side of the plate, as well as a carrier of information about the manufacturer's trademark placed outside the plate.
EFFECT: increased reliability of the tool for identifying drill pipes by increasing the resistance to destruction in aggressive environments of wells.
