SUBSTANCE: method of generating an information barcode from digital data to be encoded involves performing operations arranged in data preprocessing units, forming layers and assembling layers, and implemented using a processor and memory: dividing data to be encoded into a plurality of data units according to a set of given parameters, breaking down data in all blocks into bits, independent encoding of separated bit data units into a plurality of binary two-dimensional barcodes of the same size in accordance with a given type of base, filling for each binary two-dimensional barcode of a set of templates regulating its individual parameters in accordance with a given type of base, determination of parameters for embedding a plurality of obtained two-dimensional barcodes without distortions into the structure of the generated information code in accordance with given parameters, embedding a plurality of binary two-dimensional barcodes into a single colour image in accordance with embedding parameters.
