FIELD: energy conversion.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to mechanisms for converting kinetic energy into mechanical work of friction elements and can be used as a brake mechanism for a working brake system of a wheeled vehicle. The disc brake comprises housing 4, in which brake pads 6 are placed on opposite sides of brake disc 5. Brake calliper 7 acts on one brake pad, cylinder 8 acts on the other brake pad, made integral with rod 2, to which drive lever 3 is attached using nut 1. On the end surface of cylinder 8, opposite to the brake disc, there are teeth 9 with inclined surfaces that engage with similar inclined teeth made on the cylindrical part of the brake calliper 7 and provide the possibility of its movement, while drive lever 3 is attached to rod 2, cylinder 8 of which is connected with the second of brake pads 6. From the side of the end surface of cylinder 8 facing brake disk 5, along its outer diameter, thrust ring 10 protruding beyond this end surface towards brake disk 5 is fixed. On the end surface of cylinder 8 facing brake disc 5, close to thrust ring 10, rubber shock absorbers 11 protruding beyond thrust ring 10 towards the brake disc are attached with large bases to the end surface of cylinder 8, having a shape in the form of a regular trapezoid in a vertical section along the axis of cylinder 8.
EFFECT: increased reliability and smoothness of the disc brake.
