FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE method for producing an I-beam from a titanium alloy. Heating and multi-pass deformation are carried out in two-roll calibres. Rolling is carried out in a hot state at temperatures of the beginning of rolling 1050-1100°C with the degree of deformation ε of less than 10% used in the initial passes for destruction of intercrystalline bonds of the surface of the titanium alloy workpiece with α-phase. As the resistance to deformation decreases, the degree of deformation ε increases up to 20%.
EFFECT: curvature is eliminated and a profile with accurate geometry is achieved.
