FIELD: aquaculture.

SUBSTANCE: method includes selection of planting material, its cultivation and culling of individuals from the replacement broodstock. Planting material with an average live weight of one fish of more than 30 g and a body length of more than 14 cm is selected for the replacement broodstock. The temperature regime of the water is maintained in the range from 12 to 18°C, water pH - neutral or slightly alkaline environment, the value of the redox potential of water in the range from +100 to +250 mV, oxygen concentration in water is not less than 8 mg/l, carbon dioxide concentration is not more than 10 mg/l, ammonium content is not more than 0.5 mg/l, the content of free ammonia is not more than 0.02 mg/l, nitrites are not more than 0.1 mg/l, nitrates are not more than 60 mg/l, solid dissolved substances are not more than 500 mg/l. The duration of the lighting over the pools is at least 8 hours a day. When feeding, batch distribution of food is used, in which approximately 2/3 of a single feed batch is served in the central part of the pool, and 1/3 is distributed around the periphery.

EFFECT: invention makes it possible to accelerate the process of formation of the rainbow trout broodstock.
