FIELD: catalytic converters.
SUBSTANCE: thermal catalytic converter with exhaust gas recirculation is designed to neutralize harmful substances in vehicle emissions and can be used in vehicles engines. The device is an exhaust gas emission system consisting of two successive blocks - a thermal afterburner unit with an infrared emitter, an ejector air supply and a temperature controller, and a catalytic neutralization unit with control of the catalytic effect zone depending on the engine operating mode. The neutralization system contains an exhaust gas recirculation unit by extracting gases after the thermal afterburning unit and introducing oxygen-depleted gases into the combustion chamber.
EFFECT: use of recirculation is carried out through a regulator that supplies gas depending on the operating mode of the engine, as a result of which the content of toxic emissions in the exhaust gases of automobile engines is significantly reduced.
