FIELD: mechanical engineering; internal combustion engines. SUBSTANCE: invention relates to device for neutralization of exhaust gases of diesel and gasoline internal combustion engines installed on vehicles, such as city buses. proposed converter consists of outer and inner cylindrical housing with heat insulation layer placed between the housings. Inner housing accommodates catalytic reactor consisting of flat and riffled metal foils covered with layer of porous catalyst, and heat accumulator of phase melting-crystallization transition on consisting of cylindrical capsules filled with heat-accumulating material uniformly arranged over space of reactor. Inlet and outlet gas branch pipes are provided to let exhaust gases in and out. EFFECT: improved reliability of catalyst converter, simplified design. 2 dwg
