FIELD: pharmaceutical analysis.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the analysis of materials using optical means, and can be used for the quantitative determination of alkylaryl sulfone derivatives. The method of quantitative determination of alkylarylsulfone derivatives includes dissolving accurate weights of amisulpride, sultopride, tiapride hydrochloride, eletriptan or rofecoxib in dimethylformamide at a room temperature, while an aliquot of alkylarylsulfone derivatives is treated with a 2–3-fold excess relative to the analyte component of 0.01 M SnCl2 solution in concentrated HCl, and then in hot concentrated hydrochloric acid to a pH of 2–3, and boiled for 15 minutes on a water bath, then cooled to room temperature and poured in a mixture of distilled water and hot concentrated hydrochloric acid, taken in a distilled volume ratio water: hot concentrated hydrochloric acid, equal to 1:1, respectively, to create a pH of 2–3, incubated for 2 minutes at 30–40° in a water bath and cooled to room temperature, 0.01 M of aqueous NaOH solution is added to pH 8–10, and gradually, dropwise, an excess of sodium nitroprusside in 0.1 M KOH is introduced dropwise, incubated for 5 minutes until orange staining, the optical absorption density of colored solutions is measured at 370 nm, the reference solution is a solution of sodium nitroprusside in 0.1 M KOH solution.
EFFECT: expanding the range of methods for the quantitative determination of alkylarylsulfone derivatives by developing an express sensitive method of the quantitative determination of amisulpride, sultopride, tiapride hydrochloride, eletriptan and rofecoxib in the substances with a relative error of not more than± 0.78% in the absence of the use of toxic reagents.
