FIELD: sorting.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a process for sorting parcels, namely to a method for separating parcels that are in the same row, including the following steps: dispersion, during which the parcels received from the conveyor line to the spreader device are dispersed in accordance with the difference in angles existing in the direction of transport, and there remains a gap between adjacent parcels; detection and recognition, during which photographing and recognition of detected parcels is carried out using a visual recognition device, as a result of which the device receives data on the three-dimensional dimensions and current position of each parcel; separating, during which the separating device delivers the recognized adjacent parcels at different transport speeds; the first parcel, which, according to the recognition, is ahead of all, moves at an increased speed to the edge device, and then a similar procedure occurs; the various parcels in the single-line queue that sequentially reach the edge device are transported forward in a single-line queue.
EFFECT: reduction in the rate of undetected errors and an increase in the efficiency of the sorting operation of the entire system.
