FIELD: hydroacoustic measurements.

SUBSTANCE: claimed method for measuring the noise of an underwater vehicle consists in using a temporary range equipped with a moored radiosonic buoy with a directional sonar antenna and a calibrated receiving path, and the current distance between the underwater vehicle and the radiosonic buoy is determined by changing the bearing of the underwater vehicle, measured periodically by the radiosonic buoy with subsequent processing of the results obtained.

EFFECT: ensuring high accuracy of measuring the noise of manned and unmanned underwater vehicles outside specially equipped ranges.
