METHOD FOR PROCESSING AND DISPLAYING SIGNALS IN A HYDRO-ACOUSTIC STATION WITH A FLEXIBLE EXTENDED TOWED ANTENNA Russian patent published in 2023 - IPC G01S3/80

Abstract RU 2789101 C1

FIELD: underwater environment illuminating.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to methods for illuminating the underwater environment, and specifically to methods for displaying information in passive low-frequency hydroacoustic stations (HAS) with flexible extended towed antennas (FETA). The method implements a synchronous set of discrete implementations of signals at the output of all receiving elements of the FETA; using a two-dimensional fast Fourier transform, narrow-band complex spectra of signals corresponding to different heading angles (heading angle fan) are calculated; by summing the squares of the real and imaginary parts of the narrow-band complex spectra, the energy spectra of the signals corresponding to different heading angles are calculated; several successive realizations of energy spectra corresponding to the same heading angles are accumulated; in each accumulated energy spectrum, DS are distinguished by the method for bilateral contrast with the determination of their heading angle, frequency, and level; on the indicator in the coordinates "heading angle (horizontally) - frequency (vertically) - amplitude (brightness or color)" on the DS selected in the previous accumulation cycles, with a shift of one pixel in frequency, the DS selected in the current accumulation cycle are superimposed, taking into account their course angles, frequencies and levels.

EFFECT: increasing the detection range of targets by DS in the spectrum of their noise emission.
