FIELD: geochemical prospecting for ore deposits.
SUBSTANCE: ion-sorption method for lithochemical prospecting for gold deposits is proposed, which includes taking soil samples, obtaining acid extracts from samples, and analysing the extracts by inductively coupled plasma mass spectrometry. Moreover, sampling is carried out from a depth of 20-25 cm, acid extracts are obtained by wetting sample fractions of less than 0.2 mm with an extracting solution in a ratio of 5 to 100. 100 ml of extraction solution is added to a 5.0 ± 0.01 g sample, which is prepared by adding 1 part of chemically pure nitric acid and 3 parts of pure hydrobromic acid to 46 parts of distilled water, and ICP MS analysis is carried out after settling for not less than 24 hours. According to the data of concentrations of ore-forming elements obtained for each sample, areas with a homogeneous geochemical field are determined, in which the values of the concentrations of elements are taken as the local geochemical background, and ion-sorption anomalies are detected, which contain anomalous concentrations of ore-forming elements that exceed the values of the local geochemical background.
EFFECT: reduced complexity of conducting analyses in the search for gold deposits is achieved due to the fact that the claimed method provides increased reproducibility and relevance of the analysis results while increasing the reliability of predictive estimates of the detection of gold deposits.
