FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: disclosed is an ion-sorption method of lithochemical prospecting of polymetallic deposits, involving extraction of soil samples, obtaining from samples of nitrate extracts and analysis of extracts by mass spectrometry with inductively coupled plasma (ICP MS), where sampling is performed from depth of 5–10 cm, nitrate extracts are obtained by wetting sample fractions of less than 0.1 mm with an extractant solution of nitric acid at ratio of 1 to 100: 100 ml of the extracting solution is added to a sample weight of 1.0±0.01 g, where the extracting solution is prepared by adding 250 ml of chemically pure nitric acid to 4,750 ml of distilled water, and ICP MS analysis is carried out after their daily settling, on which concentration of ore-bearing and petrogenic elements in each sample is obtained, from the obtained concentration data of elements determining sections with a homogeneous geochemical field, values of which are taken as local geochemical background, and detecting ion-sorption anomalies, which contain abnormal concentrations of ore and petrogenic elements, exceeding values of local geochemical background.
EFFECT: reduction of labor intensity and increase of speed (rapid) analysis, increase of their reproducibility and relevance of analysis results, as well as increase in reliability of predicted estimates of detected abnormalities.
