SUBSTANCE: beverage preparation apparatus comprises an outlet for dispensing hot water or steam, the steam is used by the milk frother while the hot water is discharged by the outlet directly outside the beverage preparation apparatus to be collected in the beverage container. Thus, a single nozzle is provided for the dispensing of steam or hot water, without the need for any auxiliary device during the dispensing of hot water.
EFFECT: cost savings, fewer components to be lost, and simplified cleaning by requiring only the milk frother to be cleaned on a per-use basis rather than the fixed parts of the device connected to the milk frother.
