FIELD: electrical engineering.

SUBSTANCE: manufacture and adjustment of blocks of electrical equipment, in particular installation of circuit elements on a supporting structure, namely, placement of sensors on an overlay to a patch panel. Photograph the front of the patch panel and use the resulting photo in the software to determine the exact location of the ports on the patch panel automatically. The obtained coordinates are used to place the sensor circuit boards in/on the patch panel sensor overlay.

EFFECT: faster manufacture and installation of overlays with sensors on patch panels by automatically recognizing the types of ports intended for completing them with sensors and obtaining the exact coordinates of the ports on the front surface of the patch panel.
