SUBSTANCE: invention can be used to screen for the presence of an inflammatory process in the periodontium in patients with chronic tonsillitis. Screening which includes the calculation of dental indices, the presence of tonsillitis, paratonsillar abscesses, diseases associated with chronic tonsillitis, periodontal disease and bleeding gums in history, as well as a blood test for antistreptolysin-O is carried out. Then, the prognostic probability of the presence of periodontitis in patients with chronic tonsillitis is calculated according to the original formula.
EFFECT: method provides expanding the arsenal of means for non-invasive diagnosis of periodontitis in patients with chronic tonsillitis, increasing the efficiency of diagnosis, reducing the risk of complications, by evaluating the totality of the most significant indicators.
