FIELD: medicine; experimental medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention can be used to simulate leukemia infection in experimental animals. Guinea pigs are injected intraperitoneally with a suspension of lymphoid cells isolated from the blood of a cow with leukemia. A suspension of lymphocytes is isolated from the freshly obtained stabilized EDTA-KZ blood of a sick cow by centrifugation on a density gradient of a 17% solution of trazograph. In the above mentioned blood, the titer of the virus is determined by the method of successive dilutions in the reaction of indirect immunofluorescence (RNIF), and in a volume of 1.0 ml, the isolated cell suspension with a virus titer of 1:2 is administered once to experimental animals. Infection control is performed by the RNIF method.
EFFECT: invention provides an accessible, rapidly reproducible and highly efficient method of modeling leukemia infection in guinea pigs, suitable for studying the specific antiviral activity of various chemical compounds, biologically active substances and immunomodulators.
