SUBSTANCE: control system (1) for the device (10) for continuous material transport is provided for the belt conveyor device. The belt conveyor device can be controlled by one or more drives (2) in several working processes in order to provide a predetermined value of the conveyor flow. The control system is configured to register the value of power and/or energy consumed by the drive during the work process, and determine the energy efficiency for the corresponding work process and for a predetermined conveyor flow using the specified value of energy and/or power consumption. The control system (1) is also configured to provide control data related to the drive speed for said at least one drive as an energy efficiency function.
EFFECT: optimization of power consumption of work processes is provided.
