SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method and apparatus for producing filters for cigarettes or other smoking articles. Device for producing filters for cigarettes or other smoking articles contains means (10) for producing filters and transporting means (40, 41, 42) for supplying manufactured filters (F) through drying chamber (30), that enables accelerated aging of filters (F), at that radio frequency generator (50) is connected to said drying chamber (30) to generate a high-frequency alternating electric field in which said filters are placed, at that the said device further comprises means for changing the rate of passage of the filters through said drying chamber on the basis of at least one particular parameter, that is an indicator of the amount of moisture contained in the said filters, with the adjustment of the processing time of the filters inside the drying chamber for a given power of radio-frequency generator (50) so that essentially removes moisture contained in the filters.

EFFECT: creating a more efficient, more compact and safer device for making filters for cigarettes or other smoking articles.
