FIELD: agriculture.
SUBSTANCE: method for the disinfection of amaranth seeds is proposed, including treatment of seeds with a disinfectant anolyte, obtained using a diaphragm electrolyser. In this case, the used anolyte has pH = 3.7±0.95, redox potential +920±90 mV and concentration of chloride ions 0.055±0.005%. For seed treatment, a flow-through diaphragm electrolyser with an interelectrode space of 8 mm at a current strength of 10 A is used. To obtain anolyte, tap water with pH = 7.0±0.2, redox potential +409±162.5 mV and concentration of chloride ions not less than 0.029±0.003% is used.
EFFECT: invention makes it possible to obtain amaranth seeds for subsequent germination at actually low bacterial contamination rates obtained and under the condition of low material and labour costs.
