FIELD: agriculture.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the seed treatment, in particular to a method of stimulating the growth of seeds of plants grown hydroponically. The method involves treating seeds with a catholyte solution obtained using a diaphragm electrolyzer. Amaranth seeds are soaked in catholyte with pH equal to 9.9±0.3, redox potential of 777.5±17.5 mV from tap water with pH equal to 7.0±0.2 and redox potential of +409.5±162.5 mV, obtained using a flow diaphragm electrolyzer with an interelectrode space of 8 mm at a current strength of 10 A for 40 minutes, with a ratio of amaranth seeds and catholyte 1:2.
EFFECT: method provides the ability to stimulate the growth of small-seeded crops in hydroponic conditions.
