FIELD: nonwoven materials.

SUBSTANCE: disclosed are three-dimensional nonwoven materials and methods for manufacturing such materials. In one embodiment, the nonwoven material may contain a plurality of fibres, a first surface and a perforated zone containing a plurality of nodes extending from the base plane, on the first surface, and a plurality of connecting bridges connecting the plurality of nodes to each other, with most of the plurality of nodes containing at least three connecting jumpers connected to adjacent nodes. The perforated zone may further comprise a path of knots that extends substantially in the longitudinal direction, wherein the path of knots extending substantially in the longitudinal direction is formed from longitudinally adjacent knots that are aligned such that each of the lines drawn between the centres longitudinally adjacent nodes within the node lane forms an angle relative to the longitudinal direction of less than 20 degrees.
