SUBSTANCE: in one embodiment, the absorbent article may comprise an outer coating, a body facing liner, an absorbent element and a nonwoven material bonded to the body facing liner. Nonwoven material can contain a perforated zone providing an open area in percentage for the perforated zone, which is more than approximately 15%. Nonwoven material can be bonded to the cushioning material by means of a front waist link forming a front waist binding region which extends through the perforated area, and a rear waistband forming a rear waistband region, the rear waistband region having a length that ranges from about 2% to about 10% of the length of the material, and the front waist binding area has a length that ranges from about 20% to about 50% of the length of the material.

EFFECT: disclosed are three-dimensional nonwoven materials and absorbent articles containing such materials.
