SUBSTANCE: absorbent article may contain an absorbent element and an outer coating. Absorbent article can also contain a fluid-bonded nonwoven material. Absorbent element can be located between the fluid-bonded nonwoven material and the outer coating. Fluid bonded nonwoven material may comprise a first surface and a second surface. Nonwoven material can also comprise a plurality of nodes extending from the base plane on the first surface to the absorbent element. Nonwoven material can further comprise a plurality of holes extending from the first surface to the second surface through the fluid bonded nonwoven material. Separate holes of multiple holes may be located between adjacent assemblies of multiple assemblies.
