FIELD: nonwoven materials.

SUBSTANCE: three-dimensional nonwoven materials are disclosed. In one variant, the nonwoven fabric may comprise a plurality of fibres and may further comprise the first surface and the second surface opposite to each other, a perforated zone comprising a plurality of nodes extending from a reference plane on the first surface, a plurality of connecting bridges connecting the plurality of nodes to each other, and a plurality of holes providing a percentage open area for the perforated zone that is greater than about 15%, as determined by a test method based on analysis of a sample of the material. The material may further comprise the first and the second side zones, wherein the nonwoven fabric has a material width, and both the first and the second side zones have the width of the first and the second side zones, and wherein each of the widths of the first and second side zones is from about 5% to approximately 25% of the width of the nonwoven material.
