FIELD: new complexes of platinum (IV).
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a complex of platinum (IV) with a geometric configuration of cis-(ammine,1-adamantylamine)-trans-bis(1-adamantylcarboxylate)-cis-(chloride, X) Pt (IV ) of general formula (III), where X is a conjugated anion of a strong mineral or organic acid and where X is selected from the group consisting of nitrate, monochloroacetate and trifluoroacetate. A method is also proposed for producing these new platinum (IV) complexes, a pharmaceutical composition and a method for treating a tumour disease.
EFFECT: proposed platinum (IV) complexes have improved antitumor efficacy and can be used to treat, preferably, difficult cancer, most preferably pancreatic cancer.
