FIELD: environment protection.
SUBSTANCE: device for producing ozone using a plasma electric discharge used in various industries for treatment with an ozone-air mixture in order to reduce the concentration of harmful substances in the air. The ozone production plant includes an ozonator containing electrodes and a dielectric plate made of glass located between them with gaps, and a control panel connected to it, a power supply converter, a catalytic unit and a fan, the converter being capable of power control. The ozonator electrodes are made in the form of metal pins located on the same line parallel to the plate at a distance of 5-15 mm from each other and at a distance of 1-5 mm from the edge of the pin to the plate. Inside the glass plate there are insulated electrodes.
EFFECT: increased output of generated plasma, active oxygen and ozone due to obtaining nonequilibrium low-temperature plasma in the near-surface dielectric layer in a sliding barrier discharge.
