NANOSIZED CERAMIC PLASMA CATALYST FOR STABILIZING AND PROMOTING PLASMA COMBUSTION Russian patent published in 2023 - IPC B01J23/00 B01J21/08 B01J27/224 H05H1/00 B82Y30/00

Abstract RU 2802621 C1

FIELD: plasma catalysts.

SUBSTANCE: present invention relates to plasma catalysts for initiating and sustaining plasma combustion comprising a novel plasma catalyst configuration in the form of a so-called ceramic matrix nanocomposite and a novel combination of valve metal oxides, polar transition metal oxides, rare earth oxides and phosphides, alkali metal oxides, silicon oxides, silicon carbides and nitrides, including ternary and higher complexes. A plasma catalyst in the form of a nanocomposite is described, with a ceramic matrix for initiating and maintaining plasma combustion, wherein said nanocomposite is a structure containing at least a first part and a second part, where said: first part comprises a nanoporous plate, and second part comprises crystalline nanowhiskers, and said nanoporous wafer comprises at least one of Group 4 Ti, Zr, Hf metal oxides, Group 5 V, Nb, Ta metal oxides, Group 6 metal W oxides, and Group 13 metal oxide Al of the periodic table according to the IUPAC (International Union of Theoretical and applied chemistry), silicon/silicon dioxide and silicon carbide, and these nanowhiskers with a diameter of 1 to 100 nm and an aspect ratio of length to diameter greater than 100 contain at least one of perovskite-like poly- and/or single-crystal ferroelectric with pyroelectric properties, transition metals, conductive ceramics of the metal-oxide-metal type or their complexes, where the specified first and second parts are covered with a top coating in the form of a multilayer thin film or plate, where the specified top coating comprises at least three layers: a catalyst grid; a layer that prevents oxidation and alkali attack; and a transparent conductive oxide ceramic layer. The use of this plasma catalyst as a component of the lining of the combustion chamber is also described, and the specified lining serves as an additional thermal screen that prevents oxidation and alkali attack of the walls of the combustion chamber.

EFFECT: creating a plasma catalyst, which is a synergistic combination of plasma, a solid catalyst, their electrophysical mutual influence on each other as an additional reinforcing factor and made in the form of a nanocomposite for lining the walls of the combustion chamber, and designed to initiate and maintain plasma combustion.
