FIELD: machine tool engineering.
SUBSTANCE: adjustable spindle drive for tangential vibrations consists of an electric motor and an intermediate gear, in which modulation of the tool speed relative to the workpiece is achieved through the use of a crank mechanism connected to the electric motor with a stepwise adjustable length of the crank and a helical gear. In this case, one transmission gear is connected to the spindle, and the other is rigidly mounted on the slider of the crank mechanism, made in the form of a shaft, and is connected through the said transmission to the electric motor. For smooth control of modulation of the speed of the tool relative to the workpiece on the go and under load on the knee of the crank shaft, as on the carrier, a satellite is freely installed with an eccentrically attached bushing connected to the connecting rod and engaging with the inner rim of the helical gear freely mounted on the crank shaft and associated with the helical gear of an additional shaft, the second helical gear of which is connected with a helical wheel rigidly mounted on the crank shaft.
EFFECT: smooth control of tangential vibrations during processing and expansion of the control range.
