SUBSTANCE: invention can be used to assess the severity of liver dysfunction in cattle. The animal is clinically examined, a biochemical blood test is performed to determine the concentration of medium mass molecules (MMM) in the blood serum at a sample irradiation wavelength of 254 nm. Additionally, the level of malondialdehyde (MDA) is determined in the blood. Based on the obtained values of MMM and MDA, a conclusion is made about the severity of liver dysfunction in cattle. At a concentration in the blood of MMM from 0.185 to 0.250 units. op. sq. and MDA from 1.5 to 2.0 µmol/l there is a minor violation. At a concentration in the blood of MMM from 0.250 to 0.500 units. op. sq. and MDA from 2.0 to 2.5 µmol/l there is moderate violation. At a concentration in the blood of MMM above 0.500 units. op. sq. and MDA above 2.5 µmol/l there is severe violation.
EFFECT: method provides the possibility of obtaining a reliable assessment of the severity of liver dysfunction in cattle by determining the concentration of medium-weight molecules and malondialdehyde in the blood.
