FIELD: electrical engineering.

SUBSTANCE: electrical winding wires made of copper. The copper winding wire contains a conductive insulated core with a rectangular cross section, and the maximum deviation of the cross-sectional area of the core along the length from the given area does not exceed 3%. The core is made of oxygen-free copper. Conventional yield strength (σ0.2) of core meets the condition 100 N/mm2 ≤σ0.2≤ 400 N/mm2. The initial blank for the copper core is made in the form of a wire rod obtained by drawing from the melt. To form a core from the initial blank, extrusion processing and plastic deformation by rolling are carried out sequentially. Rolling is performed with a degree of reduction from 2 to 20%. Moreover, for the rolling operation, preliminary workpieces are used, obtained after extrusion processing with an intermediate conventional yield strength from 60 to 95 N/mm2.

EFFECT: increasing the service life of the winding wire operated at high temperatures (90-105°C), and is achieved by providing the necessary given geometric accuracy of the cross-sectional area in cores and at the same time achieving a high yield strength.
