SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to space technology, and more specifically to equipment testing. It is a method and a system for carrying out full-scale testing of equipment, equipment components and materials for manufacturing of equipment in the outer space. To this end, a remote crate equipped with standardized service units containing test equipment and standardized modules containing the equipment being tested is used in space outside the sealed compartment of the spacecraft. The internal test equipment unit is located inside the sealed compartment of the spacecraft and is electrically and informationally connected to the external service units. Means are provided for installation of a standardized module containing the equipment being tested, including extraction after completion of the test, for example, a robotic arm, in a remote crate. Each module has a standardized connection socket. The standardized module is fully equipped on Earth with the equipment being tested and the service subunits for telemetry of the testing process with the possibility of its return after field tests. During exposure to space and/or man-made factors, the equipment being tested is under the influence of a workload, for example, connected to a power supply source.

EFFECT: versatility, reliability, and informativeness of equipment testing due to direct exposure to the outer space factors.
